Don Sutton was born in Portland Oregon in October 1949. One of three brother's and one sister, Dennis, Michael and Deborah. His family moved to St. Joseph Missouri in 1956. Don met his wife Peggy in 1964, while attending high school together in Easton Missouri. Don and Peggy graduated together in 1967, were married in 1968 and they moved back to Oregon in 1980, where they have resided for the past 25-years. Their son Robert was born in 1969 and their daughter Rebecca was born in 1971.

Today Don and Peggy will celebrate their 39th wedding anniversary. Robert married Kimberly and added Samuel and Olivia to their family. Rebecca married Wayne and added Anthony to Don's collection of Grandchildren. Don's hobbies are loving on his family, hunting and salmon fishing. Mostly Don enjoys reading his Bible and working with ex-offender's and those with adictions. Those who made mistakes, paid their time in prison and now are out trying to survive the best they can and start a new life. Don enjoys going into the local jail's and holding Bible studies inside the cell's. Don say's that watching broken men cry out for forgiveness and surrender their life's to God, while behind bar's or on the street's, excites him more than life itself! Assisting with an alcoholic or drug addict in recovery is a blessing for Don, he does it everyday.

Don has done much work with the Missions in downtown Portland and he enjoys giving time and sharing with the street kid's in Portland. He also was privileged to help begin an Aftercare program, in Washington County Oregon, thru Prison Fellowship. This was a much needed program for ex-offenders, when they are released from prison. Prison Fellowship Aftercare has developed into a very much needed service and thank's to the continued efforts of a handful of Don's friends, there are many ex-offenders with housing, job's, Churches and especially they have received their self esteem back. Don encourages men and women to volunteer with Prison Fellowship Aftercare. We have added their link to our Link's page, please pay them a visit and see what God is doing thru their effort's.

Don has also joined forces with a group of other concerned Citizens of Oregon. Meth has become an Epidemic, here in Oregon, and with the effort's of Don, and a few other men and women, they will be able to, hopefully, change the life's of some of our Children. This Meth Epidemic is sweeping across our Nation and Don created a program to take into our Grade and Middle School's and teach our kid's to Say NO to Meth. Please visit Don's new web site, www.SayNOtoMeth.com . If you or someone you know is being attacked by this Epidemic, send him a note. While you are visiting the web site, order a t-shirt, make a donation or get involved. Don feels that if everyone puts forth an effort, maybe this Epidemic can be put to rest!
